God has blessed me with sons, but I was the firstborn and only son of my dad. I started to do this presentation about brothers, and quickly realized that I was undersupplied with role models for this unique relationship. But I realized that I was not without resource: I have an older brother in my father. As time goes on, we really do move from that almost vertical relationship to one more as peers.
I see this in my sons as they move to manhood. I had heard the old cliche about how "they will always be babies", but not so for me: I'm excited to see them developing skills and knowledge that I've missed, or let get a bit rusty. I hope I'll always be "Dad" to them, but I can see them as independent, as friends.
Anyway, I'd like to dedicate this presentation to my father. It began as an exercise in the program itself, but I wanted it to say something more than "lorem ipsum dolor est."
